Saeve (Sava)
was from the mystical land of the Shee, or Faeries.
She heard the stories of the brave Fionn,
and loved him. She could not go to him
because she was being held captive by
the Dark Man of the Shee, who desired her love.
One day a sympathetic
friend told her how to escape. She
left Tyr nan Oge (the Land of the Forever Young, pronounced
Tirnan OGE)
to find her true love.

She was the first love of Fionn (Finn), and
mother to his son, Ossian (Usheen).
